Sharon Marsh, with Acelity, has donated a vertical (3 bottles) of Talty Wine from 2011, 2012 and 2013. Talty wine comes from dry-farmed grapes grown on a beautiful six-acre vineyard in Sonoma’s Dry Creek Valley. For over one hundred years, the Dry Creek Valley has been home to thousands of acres of cultivated land, five hundred of which are solely Zinfandel grapes. Although Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot grapes can be seen trellised all over the valley, the abundance and quality of the valley’s Zinfandel grapes has led most to consider the Dry Creek Valley, “Zinfandel Country”. Their dry-farmed and head-pruned vines purposely produce a very small crop — approximately two tons per acre. This ensures the intensity and concentration of the fruit from the very start. Once picked, our grapes are fermented by their own natural yeast in small, open-top bins. They are punched down five times per day for the best flavor and color extraction. Valued at $120.

Onion Creek Club is one of the most historic clubs in the Central Texas area, established in 1974 by Austin native Jimmie Connolly and Legendary Golfer Jimmy Demaret.  Jimmy Demaret is quoted as saying “Nature put it here, all I did was manicure it”. In the mid 90’s Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore lent a hand in shaping an additional nine to complete the twenty seven hole layout as we know it today.  Onion Creek Club has had quite a history and is known for the “Birthplace of the Senior Tour” back in 1979 the first “Legends of Golf” was held at Onion Creek Club and the rest is history.  Onion Creek Club also hosted three LPGA Tour Events 1999, 2000, and 2001.  Today Onion Creek is a host site for the UIL State Championships, numerous junior competitions, and a qualifying site for the Men’s U.S. Open.
